The Society of Women Engineers is a student organization at MSOE, as well as an international society. SWE is open to anyone interested in promoting females in engineering and other STEM fields, including females and males, engineers and non-engineers. As we celebrate our 40th Anniversary at MSOE, we are reminded of our mission to develop students professionally whether that is through leadership/development workshops, networking with companies, or attending our our annual regional or society conferences.
WE20 CONFERENCE
We have the opportunity to attend the WE20 Virtual Society Conference, November 5th -7th and it is the Largest Conference for Women Engineers. This annual conference will be a unique opportunity for us to network with professional and collegiate members, attend the largest Career Fair with 100+ exhibitors, and attend a multitude of workshops and presentations topics ranging from technical innovations to ted talks on women's advocacy. Every year we are able to attend and in fact last year we were able to bring 6 officers to Anaheim, California for WE19 and we hope to continue to bring back the exciting new programs and ideas to make to org even better. We raised more than $1200 dollars.
Conference registration fees are not covered by the university nor any of our annual fundraising events. Registration fees are $75 per student – that’s why we need your help! If we could raise $2,000, that would help us greatly in offset the cost and allow our entire section to attend the WE20 Virtual Conference. Reaching our goal would also enable us to bring our whole section and not just the executive board.
Our goal of going to the Conference is within reach but we need your support! Please help us get there by making a gift to the project. No amount is too small and every gift will assist us in reaching our goal. We can’t wait to share with you what we learn at the convention and keep you updated on our progress until then! Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Morgan Coirier, FY21 President, and all fellow SWEsters
