2022-2023 Season: Club Baseball Fundraising

ABOUT MSOE CLUB BASEBALL

Club Baseball at MSOE is a student led club that allows students who have a passion for baseball to continue playing competitive baseball at a non-varsity level. We compete through the National Club Baseball Association - Division II and are in the Northern Plains - Central Region. Our season consists of three-game weekend series against other universities' club baseball programs. Games played at our home field, the MSOE Raiders Stadium at Maslowski Park in Glendale, WI which is 8 miles north of our campus, as well as away games that require us to travel to other schools' campuses.

IMPACT

As a Club Team, we are recognized as a student organization rather than an athletic team at MSOE. Because of this, we receive minimal funding from campus. Each year, every club team member pays a significant amount of our budget out of their own pocket to allow us to continue to play a sport we love, as challenging as it can be to afford for a college student. Unfortunately because of the costs required each year, there are players who have been unable to participate due to financial limitations. Our goal is to cut down the out of pocket cost to make Club Baseball more accessible for all players without worrying about financial constraints in the following areas.

• Travel Expenses - During our fall and spring baseball seasons, we travel to our competitor's universities for away games. As of now, there is currently no budget set up through the university for expenses on these away trips such as gas and hotel rooms when over-night travel is necessary.
• New Equipment - Every few years, it is necessary to replace some of the old equipment, such as baseballs, bats, helmets, catchers gear, and training equipment as it gets worn down. A portion of this campaign will be reserved to replace equipment as the needs arise. 
• Uniforms - Every couple of years, uniforms also need to be replaced following normal wear and tear. Currently, this cost is completely out of pocket from our players. A portion of our fundraiser would be reserved for new jerseys when the time comes to order them.
