We’ve been hard at work in the lab for the past month. We’ve made a significant amount of progress in the development of our test. We’ve fine-tuned our binding procedures, run flow tests, and initially validated antibody binding. These successes are the first steps towards the full-fledged test we designed. There’s still a significant amount of work left, but your donations have been instrumental in helping us achieve this. Every donation, whether large or small, helps us a lot.

The image below is the first successful conjugation of our antibodies to gold nanoparticles! These are a core component of our test and a major milestone in the design.
Today was our first day in lab! We used our time today to aliquot, or portion out, our antibodies to make sure they are the correct dilution and there is a much smaller chance for contamination. We've added a short time-lapse video of our lab time today to show some of our progress! To see the video, please go to the YouTube link. We also did some experiments to understand how a saliva sample will flow through the membrane.
