MSOE's Society of Software Engineers(SSE) is a student-run professional organization that strives to empower software engineers and all people who love to code for a better future in the industry. We are a club for anyone majoring in, interested in, or just curious about software engineering. Through collaboration, workshops, technical discussions, and networking events, SSE strengthens students' technical, networking, and soft skills. SSE also hosts a myriad of social events to support and retain students within our specialty. With constant community outreach, SSE ensures that relationships are being built to keep students prepared for the fast-moving tech world.
How YOU Can Make a Difference
In SSE, our mission is to support students of all backgrounds. Not every student has access to funds to support personal projects, supplies to experiment, or textbooks to continue their learning and exploring of the SE field. With your help, we can continue to provide essential services and support to students by offering supplemental technology such as Raspberry Pi computers and other supplies to continue to make our meetings enjoyable and attainable for all interested students. Funding will also support our sub committees in hosting programming competitions, hackathons, and game jams to expose students to real-world programming needs while enjoying the social aspects and friendly competition that make student organizations so powerful and welcoming on campus.
Additionally, we are looking to start a new initiative to create a new SSE Library Program, offering free textbooks, educational materials and more to students-in-need.
Your support can make a huge difference to help students take their interest in SE to a whole new level.
