Thank you so much for your willingness to contribute to sending SWE to the WE21 conference! We are no longer taking donations for this cause, but your support is still extremely valuable and we appreciate it. Please check back to get an update on how the donations were used!
The Society of Women Engineers is a student organization at MSOE, as well as an international society. SWE is open to anyone interested in promoting females in engineering and other STEM fields, including females and males, engineers and non-engineers. As we move towards recovering from COVID-19, we are reminded of our mission to develop students professionally whether that is through leadership/development workshops, networking with companies, or attending our our annual regional or society conferences.
WE21 CONFERENCE
We have the opportunity to attend WE21, The World's Largest Conference for Women Engineers and Technologists, October 21st - 23rd! This annual conference will be a unique opportunity for us to network with professional and collegiate members while attending a Career Fair with 100+ exhibitors, and a multitude of workshops with presentations topics ranging from technical innovations to TED Talks on women's advocacy. Last year we were able to attend the conference virtually. This year we are hoping to have five officers attend the conference in person!
Conference registration fees are not covered by the university nor any of our annual fundraising events. Registration fees are $100 per student, not including transportation or accommodations – that’s why we need your help! If we could raise $1,500, that would help us greatly in offset the cost and allow our officer e-board to attend the WE21 Conference. Reaching our goal would also enable us to extend the invitation to general members, increasing the impact on our organization.
Our goal of going to the conference is within reach but we need your support! Please help us get there by making a gift to the project. No amount is too small and every gift will assist us in reaching our goal. We can’t wait to share with you what we learn at the convention and keep you updated on our progress until then! Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Rebekah Bartels, FY22 President, and all fellow SWEsters
