Thank you for supporting Campus Diversity and Inclusion during Giving Tuesday.
Giving Tuesday has ended, but if you would still like to complete a gift to support our students, please visit give.msoe.edu/donate
MSOE is committed to making our university community a place where diversity is embraced and all members of our community feel a sense of inclusion and belonging. Much of this work is made possible by generous private gifts to initiatives on campus that promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging. While we have made amazing strides over the years, the work in this area is never done and we can continue to enhance our efforts.
Your gift to Diversity and Inclusion will provide:
This year, three anonymous faculty and staff donors have set a challenge for the MSOE community. We need your help to raise $1,750 between November 23, 2021 - November 30, 2021 to UNLOCK an additional $1,750 of support for Diversity and Inclusion efforts at MSOE.
MSOE welcomes students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds from across the U.S. and around the world. We strive to help make quality education available to everyone regardless of their race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, veteran-status, religion, age and socio-economic status. Learning with individuals who represent different groups and different values can broaden your horizons and help our students become well rounded global citizens.
Diversity brings unique gifts and talents including cultures, worldviews, perspectives, opinions, and beliefs that will affirm your values as well as challenge them. At MSOE we all have something to share and something to learn. From student organizations to special events and programs, we promote and celebrate diversity and inclusion every day. In 2020, MSOE hired Seandra Mitchell to serve as the vice president of student affairs and campus inclusion in an effort to provide strong leadership and a clear direction. Since then we have taken several steps to help improve diversity and strengthen the climate of equity and inclusion on our campus including bringing in a Master Diversity Trainer, DEI consultant, civil rights activists and Bystander Intervention Trainers while increasing our involvement with our student organizations that highlight diversity.
