Help our Students Visit One of the Largest Hubs in the Medical Device Industry!

The Minneapolis-St. Paul area is home to over 500 medical device companies and widely regarded as one of the world’s hubs of the medical device industry. While bringing these companies to campus would be ideal, we are planning the next best thing, which is to bring our students to the companies. All juniors and seniors in the MSOE biomedical engineering program are being given the opportunity to participate in the three-day trip from April 11-13.

Trip Details

Joined by program faculty members, students will travel to the Twin Cities by charter bus. On the first day, students will visit and tour HLT, Inc., and one other medical device company. On the second and third days, students will attend the annual Design of Medical Devices Conference, held on the campus of the University of Minnesota. This conference will feature keynotes by medical device industry leaders, sessions on emerging technologies, networking opportunities with industry representatives, and a Senior Design Showcase competition featuring three MSOE senior design teams!

Impact of your Contribution

Not only will this trip help current students make connections with medical device companies, but it will help grow the visibility of MSOE's biomedical engineering program as a leader in producing industry-prepared graduates!

Your contribution will help pay for the student expenses of this trip, including transportation, hotel, meals and conference registration.

The impact of your donation will multiply! Thanks to the generosity of HLT Medical, Inc., and its President and CEO, David Elizondo ('90), HLT will contribute $3 for every $1 you contribute (up to $6000 from HLT)!
